Best Corporate Governance and ESG Awards

The Awards recognize that investors and other stakeholders are more and more interested in how listed companies and major public sector organizations are addressing issues such as climate change and other environment and social concerns that may affect their businesses and services.

The Best Corporate Governance and ESG Awards 2023 – Judges’ Report contains commentaries from the judges and reviewers on the CG and SSR performance of the winning companies and organizations, information on international and local developments in these areas, as well as background information on the Awards.

Sustainability within the Institute

The institute is committed to integrating sustainability into our operations, and to the broader accounting profession.

With the goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, the institution has reduced carbon emissions by 38.4% from FY2019/20 (baseline) to FY2022/23. This progress is driven by various efforts, including optimizing office space, digitalization, and minimizing business travel.

The institute also actively engages its members and wider community in sustainability practices, providing resources and guidance to help accountants integrate sustainable practices into their professional roles.  Through educational initiatives, we aim to foster a culture of sustainability that aligns with global standards.

Sustainability Community

The Sustainability Community is a dedicated hub for individuals and organizations who specialize in and are passionate about sustainability. It welcomes professionals from diverse backgrounds, extending beyond CPAs.

 The community's primary objectives are to facilitate connections with like-minded professionals, provide comprehensive insights into sustainability trends and regulations, foster inspiration and knowledge sharing, drive collective efforts in sustainability practices and climate action, and offer valuable networking opportunities with esteemed sustainability leaders.

 This Initiative will be launched in two phases. In Phase 1, community members will gain exclusive access to valuable resources that facilitate the integration of sustainability into their services and business operations, privileged eligibility to participate in specialized training and knowledge-sharing sessions, and receive priority access to newsletters, articles, face-to-face events, and webinars.

Phase 2 of the Sustainability Community will be launched in Q4 2024 with expanded features. Stay tuned!
