HKICPA Accounting in Action: An immersive learning experience
HKICPA Accounting in Action: An immersive learning experience 2024/25 will be organized with a series of accounting workshop, company visits to CPA firms, the Accounting and Business Management Online Quiz Competition and Job Shadowing programme. These activities aim to provide students with a better understanding of the latest development of the accounting industry and diverse career paths; as well as to develop students’ abilities in applying accounting and business management knowledge to craft business solutions.
Accounting Workshop
The Accounting workshop provides students with fundamental knowledge combined with practical skills in relation to accounting and auditing, working practices and more. Students will be exposed to a wide range of accounting tasks, including auditing, tax preparation, financial planning and consulting.
Company Visit to CPA firms
During the guided office tour, students will be introduced the work environment and culture of the company. Each visit also includes sharing from existing staff members on general requirements for entering the industry and the prospect.
Having a closer look at a professional firm, students would understand more of the nature and operation of an accounting firm.
Accounting and Business Management Online Quiz Competition
How well the students understand the Accounting and Business Management knowledge they learn from school? Take this short quiz to assess their knowledge and the winning individuals would gain internship opportunities in CPA firms.
Job Shadowing Programme
Students are assigned to mentors in their respective work places. They will be involved in different accounting duties during the 2-days programme, which could widen their horizons and equip them with the basic necessary skills to build their future careers.
